How many classes can I book?
Beginner or Advanced DJ Classes can be booked one class at a time and offer one-on-one coaching on your preferred date.
You can book an unlimited number of one-on-one classes - it's up to you!
The Group DJ Course allows up to six people to learn as a group across four (4) classes on a repeating weekly schedule (e.g. Saturdays at 2pm for 4 weeks)
You can book into the Group DJ Course three months in advance and class dates will be listed on the product page.
What skill level is required to take a class?
Beginner Classes + Group DJ Course
Both are designed for those who want to learn the basics and are new to DJing. We will teach you what you need to know to play your own live DJ sets!
You may have recently purchased your own DJ setup to bring along and learn on or you may have no equipment at all ... it doesn't matter either way! You can book into a Beginner DJ Class or a Group DJ Course and learn what it takes to start mixing tracks on our in-house setup either one-on-one (Beginner Classes) or with a group of fellow music lovers (Group DJ Course)
Advanced Classes
This class assumes you're equipped with the skills required to play a DJ set and focuses more on building a successful career in the music scene through performance, production or both. Tailored to each students goal, the class starts with skill share - playing a set or showing us your production projects helps us identify opportunities. We're also going to help you understand the business of being a DJ or Producer ... what to charge, how to build a brand and how to reach your market.
Where are the classes held?
Studio 11 - Level 1, 85 Alexander Street Crows Nest.
We share a building with Big Music .. directly above Store DJ & Mannys.
Yes! We have everything you need to learn in our studio and can help guide you through a purchase of your own equipment.
Yes, of course! Bring it along and we'll help you navigate it all.
Small cheer squads (up to 2 people) are definitely welcome .. there's a comfortable couch in our studio!
